Michael Spears is a 3x Emmy award-winning journalist, expert storyteller and content creator who spent 10 years mastering his skills in TV news. He has covered some of the biggest stories in recent times — The coronavirus pandemic, 2020 social unrest, the 2016 presidential election, the Parkland mass shooting, Hurricane Irma and more.

As a licensed drone operator and experienced videographer, Michael has utilized all he’s learned in the fast-paced world of TV news to work with and coach real estate agents in featuring million dollar homes and developments; Work with politicians on campaign videos; Share his experience and expertise with journalism students, including at his alma mater, the University of Miami.

Trading warm South Florida weather to return home to the PNW felt right for Michael in 2018, where he worked in local news until 2021 — A chance to not only tell his hometown’s stories, but connect with old friends and spend time with family.

Coronavirus, protests and riots — Michael’s time reporting in Seattle was memorable. After three years at home, and a decade in TV news , Michael decided to leave the business in 2021 and create content independently and directly with clients. Storytelling will always be a passion of his — the skills acquired from the years of enterprising stories, shooting and editing video, writing and presenting live, accurate reports at a moment’s notice will undoubtedly be useful in this new chapter.
